Digital Monetization Manager (Social Media Platforms)

We're looking for an experienced and execution-driven Digital Monetization Manager (Social Media Platforms) to help the company to grow our digital revenue streams - including brand integrations, digital product sales, community membership platforms, and travel product merchandising. We're seeking someone who understands Social Media platform for monetization and brand growth, with a proven track record of operational execution. You'll be primarily responsible for managing and scaling revenue across brand partnerships, merchandising, strategic planning and more, while also supporting the day-to-day operations of a growing social media channels (YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, WeChat). You'll play a key role in launching new initiatives such as digital products and travel e-commerce ventures. The ideal candidate brings several years of experience from a creator-focused agency and has a deep understanding of the brand integration landscape. You've worked directly with brands, and ideally, you have hands-on experience sourcing, negotiating, and closing brand deals independently. This is a full-time position based in Hong Kong, remote working arrangement possible or the right candidates up-to 6 months before relocating to Hong Kong. Open to candidates globally. Occasional business travel will be required.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead Brand Partnerships & Sponsorships, mainly in travel and lifestyle related industry (hotels, airlines, tourism board, cruise, sports events and more)
• Own the end-to-end process of go-to-market strategy setting, planning, sourcing, pitching, negotiating, and executing brand deals across multiple social media
channels.
• Drive Revenue Across Multiple Streams
• Develop and manage monetization strategies spanning sponsorships, affiliate marketing, memberships (e.g. hotels, airlines, sports events, tourism board, cruise and more), merchandise, and digital products.
• Project Lead for New Monetization Initiatives
• Take ownership of launching and executing new revenue-generating projects - such as ecommerce ventures, digital product rollouts, or community monetization features - from concept to implementation.
• Manage Revenue Operations
• Oversee backend operations and performance tracking across monetization platforms
• Strategic Partner to Channel Leads (e.g. KOL, influencer)
• Collaborate with creators and leadership to align business objectives with monetization strategy, ensuring scalable and sustainable revenue growth.
• Report on Performance & Insights
• Monitor monetization performance, generate reports, and deliver insights that inform channel-level growth strategies and business decisions.

Requirements

Ideal Candidate:
• Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or Tourism/Travel/Hospitality
• 4+ years of experience in digital ad sales, brand partnerships, or creator monetization, preferably at a creator focused agency, talent representation firm, or social media channels
• Excellent knowledge in travel or hospitality industry a plus, but not required
• A strong network and track record working directly with brands and agencies
• Experience managing sponsorship pipelines and closing deals across different verticals
• Operationally minded - you take ownership and follow through with precision and speed
• Strategic thinker with strong execution chops - someone who can take a goal and run with it
• Deep understanding of social media's monetization ecosystem, including best practices and emerging trends
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to launch and iterate on new digital revenue streams a plus
• Comfortable wearing multiple hats and working in a lean team
